This is a fantastic group watersport in Derbyshire. Windsurfing is basically a big surfboard with a sail. Get in the right direction with the wind and you’re off. It’s a great alternative to the typical stag or hen do, especially if you’re looking for something different.
At our centre that’s close to Derby and Nottingham, you’ll be shown how to operate the controls and you’ll familiarise yourself with all the basics.
And don’t worry about always falling off, we don’t expect you to be an expert, in fact – it’s pretty hilarious to see you lose your balance and go flailing into the water. This outdoor activity is a lot more user friendly these days with the addition of large and very buoyant boards.
You’ll go out as a group with your experienced personal instructor, who will make sure you stay safe whilst having loads of fun.
Like all group watersports in Derbyshire, we would recommend sticking to the warmer months when you make your booking; the water can definitely get a bit chilly.
If you manage to get to grips with it, this activity can make you look REALLY cool. And you’ll have a good old laugh watching your friends ending up in the water.
