Raft Building in the heart of the Peak District.

At a location close by to Derby and Nottingham, you’ll be split into teams, with each one being presented with all kinds of objects. A traditional team building activity, but with some fine tuning and the addition of some mad-cap elements it’s now also cracking fun for hen and stag dos.

We’re going to set you and your group the task of building your own water raft. You can name your creations (we’ve heard some shockers), and then climb aboard to set off on the maiden voyage. Can you and your team work together to build a raft that stands any chance at all of making it across the reservoir?

Will you float away to glory, or sink to raptures of laughter?

Your instructors are on hand to give guidance, but they’re not going to build those rafts for you. That’s down to you and your groups skills.

Once you manage to get on the water you’ll face an array of challenges whilst racing against the other team. If you’re looking for belly laughs, this is right up there with the best of them.

We honestly can’t stress enough just how funny it is to see the other team flailing about as their raft falls apart halfway across the reservoir. But keep an eye on your own raft, as you might be left eating humble pie, and getting a gob full of water – a team building activity at it’s finest.

You do need to be water confident to take part and enjoy it, although you don’t actually need to be able to swim, as buoyancy aids are provided. And our instructors are always close by on hand, although they spend half their time laughing at you. Good luck, you’re going to need it.
