Derbyshire's River Derwent: The Ultimate Kayaking Journey for Stag & Hen Parties

Unleash Adventure with Peak District Kayaking: The Ultimate Derbyshire Experience

Why Derbyshire’s River Kayaking is a Must-Do:
Dive into the heart of the Peak District with a kayaking escapade that’s perfect for stag parties, hen do’s, friend groups, and families visiting Derbyshire. Immerse yourself in nature, test your paddling skills, and create memories to last a lifetime!

Embark on a Journey along the River Derwent:
Set out from the iconic River Derwent in the Peak District. We promise an experience that your group will rave about for years to come. Jump into our specially designed 2-seater kayaks, crafted explicitly for aquatic adventures and exhilarating rides.

Traverse 66 Miles of Nature’s Best, 4.5 Miles at a Time:
The majestic River Derwent stretches across 66 scenic miles of the Peak District. Your thrilling adventure will take you through an immersive 4.5-mile stretch between Darley Dale and Matlock Bath, segmented into two unforgettable sections:

The Upper Derwent Exploration:
Kickstart your adventure from a local pub’s parking lot, then delve deep into Derbyshire’s splendid countryside. Glide beneath the sprawling hills and navigate the river’s playful bends. This initial segment offers an excellent opportunity to sync up with your kayaking partner, honing your skills for the more challenging waters ahead. Excitement is about to notch up!

The Daring Descent of the Lower Derwent:
Brace yourself for the legendary Derwent rapids! Maintain your focus through the exhilarating low-grade whitewater, tackling iconic challenges like the Flip Bridge and Town Falls. For the bold-hearted, we offer a heightened adrenaline surge. But be wary – a wrong move and the fishes might just get a new playmate!

One of the route’s gems is the unique view of Matlock. As you navigate the “Wind Tunnel,” don’t forget to raise your eyes to the renowned High Tor Cliff, where avid rock climbers showcase their prowess. The journey concludes in Matlock Bath, where cheerful onlookers from bridges and pathways might just cheer on your riveting display.

Once the adventure concludes, our trusty mini-bus awaits, ready to transport you back to where the journey began.
